EADP is the only international association in Europe for directory and database publishing and has members from 36 different countries including publishers, suppliers of products and services for the publishing industry and several national associations representing their countries directory publishers.

EADP serves its members by organizing an annual conference/trade show for them and a separate annual conference on managing directories, by publishing up-to-date print and internet directories which are distributed worldwide listing its members and their products and by monitoring EU activities relevant to the industry, arranging studies and compiling reports.

VDAV is an independent trade association and the prime organization for German directory publishers. It protects the interests of approximately 170 members who consist of mainly medium sized media companies that produce directory information in many forms across Germany, be they printed, on CD-ROM, internet databases or voice information.

VDAV holds an annual members meeting/trade show as well as several different seminars and training programs (such as the 'maximum performance guidance and coaching for sales teams') throughout the year. VDAV actively promotes the directory publishing industry and also has working groups and project groups open for its members to develop relationships with each other. Members also benefit from the current supply of industry information, products and research available from VDAV.

YPA is the largest trade organisation in the print and digital media industry. Its members from 29 different countries include Yellow Pages publishers (accountable for almost 90% of the Yellow Pages revenue generated in the US and Canada), the industry's international, national and local sales forces, certified marketing representatives and industry stakeholders that include Yellow Pages advertisers, vendors and suppliers.

YPA hosts an annual conference and exhibition for members and non-members, encourages communication and industry partnerships between its members and provides realms of "Members Only" discounted research and information, training, products and services. This includes the 'Membership Roster and Research' plus reporting tools containing current directory advertising rates worldwide and much more. YPA also works to limit government regulations on the Yellow Pages industry etc.
